Woke up last night 4 times having to oxygen. And of course I am out of any sort of Imitrex to stop the headaches for extended periods and insurance won’t pay for anything till April 15th and that’s only for a 2 shot Imitrex injection kit. I can’t get any pills till April 24th at the earliest. Or at least to have insurance pay for it. I can always pay for it myself if the price for these medications wasn’t so damn high.
For a Sumatriptan 6MG Injection kit, my cost is $197.99. FOR 2 FUCKING SHOTS! That’s almost $99/shot.
For my Maxalt 10MG tablets it’s $375.99 for 12 pills OR $31.34/pill.
For Generic Sumatriptan 100MG tablets the costs is $224.99 for 9 pills OR $25.00/pill.
Like I can afford any of that! I never understood all the hub-bub about prescription drugs and insurance companies. I sure do now!
